Isaiah 41:10.
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Have you ever received a warranty along with an item you had purchased? Have you ever asked for one while considering a purchase? Doesn’t it boost your confidence in buying an item that has one? A promise to receive help when we need it makes us feel safe.
In this passage of Isaiah the Lord God of Israel is comforting His chosen people. He promises His presence and help. He so lovingly replaces “fear and dismay” with “help and strength”. The cherry on the top is He adds His righteous right hand, representing His faithfulness and authority over everything, to uphold and carry us in every situation.
When we accept the Lord Jesus as our Saviour we become sons and daughters of the Most High God. Every promise in the Bible is ours to claim. Unlike a warranty card with an expiry date His word stands forever!
The people of Israel had overcome many challenges because God was with them. God’s presence was with them like a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day. Always at the the ready, always keeping His word and His promise. Whenever they put their faith in God and reached out to Him for help and deliverance they witnessed awesome miracles.
So today you may face highs and lows but do not fear nor be discouraged. The Great I AM is your God. He promises to strengthen you, help you and uphold you in every aspect of your life.
