Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the lord and depart from evil. – Proverbs 3:7

One of the most important organs of the human body are the Eyes. The eyes manage 80 percent of
all information you will ever take in. However the verse above refers to the perception of wisdom in
our minds and not our physical eyes. It was King Solomon’s advice to his son. The preceding verses
demonstrate how we can live our lives guided by true wisdom.

Proverbs 3:5, 6.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

True wisdom is trusting in the Lord -The oxford dictionary states that trust in the adjective form is
being Confident, sure, safe and secure.

Confident – Ephesians 6:10 – my brethren, be confident in the lord and the power of his might.

Sure – Hebrews 6: 19, 20 – we have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters
into the inner place behind the curtain,  where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having
become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Safe – Psalm 4:8 – In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Secure – Proverbs 3:25, 26 – you need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes
upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.

The scriptures above are a direct promise to you today. You can be confident because the Lord
almighty, El – Shaddai will fight for your cause. You can be as sure as an anchor that holds the ship
that Jesus your High priest is praying on your behalf as He was your sacrifice of atonement. You can
be safe and secure because when you are awake and when you sleep He promises to keep you.

When you decide to trust Him, follow it by giving up ideologies and decisions that go against the
Holy Bible. Fear the Lord by honoring His word as your life guide. He will make your paths straight.
He will put in order what you cannot as He is Sovereign. Choose to depart from evil by identifying
and quickly removing ungodly parts of your life like a doctor would remove poisonous venom from a
snakebite. Sinful living ignored can be as if not even more deadly. Let us be wise. Truly wise.
