Strength & Peace in Him

The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11

Strength is a part of our physical bodies. This we need for every kind of work. Now when we talk about this verse where the Bible says, The Lord will give strength to His people, it is not talking about the strength that you need to improve the house, take a bath, run a bike, go to church, attend and
worship. All this is normally what you do. The strength mentioned in the verse can be mental, before hearing the truth, or the courage to tell it. Physical, when night and day you are caring for a child, or a loved one. Emotional, when you can have rebellious children or a spouse with whom there is more distance than the sound of love can reach.

Here it specifically talks about people who need strength and courage when they are tasked with something they know nothing about or when they face a difficult situation that seems impossible to conquer. For instance, people who quit their jobs with a business plan in mind, or ones who aren’t able to
conceive and visit a doctor for consultation, among other uncertain or tumultuous scenarios. In those days when Israel was in turmoil, God was talking about divine strength. It is the same strength that will get us through our tough times.

The divine strength of God will bring peace to His people because God’s glory brings God’s peace. God’s presence brings His peace. And this isn’t the peace that the world gives. This is the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Remember our God is in the Highest. Nobody can estimate His strength or His divine holiness through which He forgives our sins and gives us His peace to live in His presence. Let’s worship Him and rejoice always.
