Returning to our Loving Father

Come, let us return to the LORD. HE has torn us to pieces but HE will heal us; HE has injured us, but HE will bind up our wounds. Hosea 6:1 NIV

Hosea 6:1 offers a heartwarming invitation to return to the LORD, capturing the essence of GOD’s redemptive love. This verse acknowledges that while we may face hardships or feel the weight of our mistakes, these moments are not without purpose. They serve as reminders of our need for GOD and HIS infinite grace. GOD allows us to experience consequences to bring us to a place of repentance and renewal. HIS ultimate desire is not to punish but to heal and restore us.

GOD corrects and rebukes those HE loves, just as a loving mother disciplines her child when he is disobedient. Those who truly care for us will not be indifferent to our mistakes and actions. The Bible, in Proverbs, tells us that the wise accept correction, while fools reject it. Our GOD is a loving Father. We can approach HIM with our worst sins, confident in HIS unwavering love, sealed by the blood of HIS Son, Jesus. When we hear a voice telling us that we are not good enough for a Holy GOD, we must remember that GOD does not condemn us (Romans 8:1).

If you have walked away from GOD, feeling unworthy, offended, hurt, or hopeless, and believe there is no way back, just reach out. HE is right there, waiting for you to remember HIM. HE has never left your side and is watching over your life. Do not let your hurts, bitterness, offenses, and the impurities of this world come between you and your close, intimate relationship with GOD. Guard this relationship with your life.
