God Works for Those Who Wait

Isaiah 64:4

Since the beginning of the world, men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him.

Waiting feels like one of the hardest disciplines in the Christian life. We would rather see immediate answers, quick solutions, and instant breakthroughs. Yet Isaiah reminds us of an unwavering truth. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart has perceived a God like ours, “who acts for the one who waits for Him.”

Waiting is not passive; it is not doing nothing. To wait on God means to trust His timing while keeping our hearts anchored in faith. Every delay has a divine purpose. Abraham waited decades for Isaac. Joseph endured years in prison. David spent years as a fugitive before taking the throne. Yet while they waited, God sharpened their character, prepared their hearts, and aligned circumstances for His perfect plan.

When we run ahead of God, we end up frustrated and drained. But when we rest in Him, silence becomes a preparation ground for miracles. God delights in acting on behalf of those who resist the urge to control outcomes and choose to surrender.

So, if you feel weary while waiting, remember this. Delay does not mean denial. Your Father is not indifferent. He actively works behind the scenes, aligning things for your good and His glory. Be still. Hold on in faith. In His time, He will do more than you could ever imagine.

Praise God, our Lord that He Is constantly minded of each one individually of which we are unworthy.
