I Kings 18:56: Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised; there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
This is the prayer of Solomon. He is thankful to God for having given them rest as per His promise. They had to fight many battles. Every word that God spoke through Moses was fulfilled for them.
God promises a period of rest for His people after they have been through all kinds of challenges and storms in their life. When we think the enemy is going to finish us off or that the Red-sea like situation is going to drown us forever, when we see the ones who ruled us once and the much stronger ones than us arrayed in battle against us, we think we have lost it all. We feel that we are done with and would want to throw up our hands in the air, in despair. The good news is that this is not the end. God will give us rest from all kinds of things that tried to mock and scare us. There will be a time of refreshing and time of joy and peace. God will never let His words fall to the ground empty. He will fulfill all that He has spoken. Even if His promises are delayed, they will surely come to pass one day.
God never lies and never will. He is not a man to lie. He is a God who always remember what He has said to you about you. He says, “come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Find your rest and your joy in Him. He will never fail.
