Psalm 91:5-6: Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; or for the arrow that flieth by day; or for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

If we make God our refuge and strength, we have nothing to fear. We don’t have to be afraid of the terror by night or the arrow that flies by day or the pestilence that walks in darkness or the destruction at noonday. In short, we don’t have to be afraid of any dangerous things either in the day or at night.

God is our protector and our strength. Night is the time when most crimes take place, be it murder or theft or robbery or any kind, but a child of God who commits his life and his family in the saving hands of God need fear no evil. We don’t have to have fear of any arrow or destructive things that happen at day either because we will be kept safe. We will be saved from any kind of plaques that walk in darkness or any kind of destruction that happens at noon. All in all, we have nothing to fear. Our hope is in God. He is our very present help in times of trouble. The God whom we serve and seek is all able and all mighty to keep us and preserve us from any and all kinds of dangers and destruction, visible and invisible, day time or night time traps.

Because we trust and hope in God’s protection, God will never fail us. He will keep us safe and sound from all kinds of lurking dangers and snares of the evil one. All that we need to do is just seek refuge in His presence.
