Zechariah 9:12
Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.
We live in a hopeless world. People whom we once considered friends can quickly become enemies. Relationships are often built on convenience rather than conviction, and loyalty is increasingly rare. Betrayal and disappointment have become common experiences, leaving many with wounded hearts and shattered trust.
In such a world, it is easy to lose faith in people and become discouraged. Yet amid the uncertainty and brokenness of human relationships, there is a source of hope that never fails.
Our Lord speaks to us through today’s verse, reminding us to find our hope and refuge in Him. He remains faithful when others are unfaithful, constant when others change, and true when others deceive. When we make Him our stronghold and build our hope upon Him, we will not be disappointed.
God’s love is not based on convenience or circumstances but flows from His unchanging nature. So, even when the world gives you reasons to despair, you can find hope and confidence in Him, knowing that He will never fail those who place their trust in Him.
What are you waiting for? If you ever needed a sign to reconsider whom you place your trust in, this is it. Hold fast to the name of Jesus Christ and anchor your hope in Him. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, unwavering in His love and faithful to keep His promises.
