Feeling lonely

Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid: for the Lord, Jehovah is my strength and my song: he also is become my salvation.

Long years of walking with the Lord had made Beth tired and exhausted of the spiritual warfare she was surrounded with. She longed to be with the Lord, in his kingdom. She would continue doing what she was supposed to do, knowing the fact that so much of everything was changing around her but her life still stood where it was. Beth was praying for a companion as her friends were slowly getting married one by one. She felt lonely and apart from the rest. But one day, when she looked at herself she realized that the Lord was still working. He was working in her life and around her life in the lives of others, touching others through her.

She worshipped the Lord and thanked him continuously for the miracles he was doing, miracles that she saw and some she did not; yet she knew he was working. At times we pray and we do not get instant answers, but know that the Lord is working. Keep praying. Beth kept praying and kept moving on and moving on.

At times. the only weapon is the Lord’s silence and peace that he gives us. Take it as a blessing and stop trying to do anything during that time. Just be quiet and enjoy it. Praying forward and praying incessantly cause his salvation and his freedom will not only give you a companion; it will also make you a tree bearing fruits for others and shade for the unbeliever. Remember his silence is at times your salvation.

The young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord [by right of their need and on the authority of His Word], none of them shall lack any beneficial thing.
