Romans 8:38-39
“I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Our Lord Jesus Christ, the God of the Holy Bible, the Creator of all things, the Maker of heaven and earth, is the epitome of love. In fact, He is love. Now we might ask why this amazing God, the Almighty and All-powerful One, loves us, sinners! Well, it is because His love does not depend on our nature but on His own.
God’s love is unconditional despite our flaws and sins. This is most certainly the best thing that has happened to mankind. We have become recipients of His great love without ever actually working for it. And His goodness doesn’t end there. This divine love that we so freely receive is also unseizable and secure. It cannot be stolen. It is our inheritance.
So, if you are going through rejection, abandonment, or loneliness in life, take heart in the fact that your God loves you in every situation. Once you taste this supreme love, you will never settle for anything less. His love will give you the power, ability, confidence, joy, peace, and protection to overcome any trial life throws at you. Embrace and cherish it forever!
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your steadfast love that covers me. It is Your love that gives me the strength to live each day. I pray that I will lead a life that reflects Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
