Psalm 62:1
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
Today, all of us define freedom in different ways. One may think he is free because he has his house, car and lives a luxurious life. While another may think I am free cause I am settled. Everybody finds their freedom in something or the other. Some find it in alcohol, some find it in a partner, a relationship or just travelling abroad and working. Is this freedom?
Our freedom is not being free; it is getting caught up in the bondages of man -made temples. We worship these temples. It slowly becomes a shrine; where we pay our homage and respect to. What is salvation for you? Have you found your salvation?
All of this is not bad and yet without Jesus all of this is worthless. He says in his word – Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and spirit and everything will be added unto you, everything. Then why do we fear about tomorrow. Why do we fear who will be our partner? Why do we fear about a job or house or car?
We love Jesus and yet we toil so hard as if we will never get to see another tomorrow. Jesus knows all our wants and provides to all of us what each one of us deserves. Love him and he will pour out his love which will be your salvation. The dictionary meaning for salvation is deliverance, redemption and at the same time it also says preservation, lifeline.
He alone is our true salvation and everything that he gives is a part of who he is.
