Psalm 34:1-2 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
The little boy was fascinated by his new remote-controlled helicopter. If he wasn’t playing with it, he was talking about it. He’d speak of how powerful its blades were, how high it could fly, how fast it could go and how he could control it all! He spoke of it ALL THE TIME like an obsession.
This is exactly how we have been created. That which interests us can captivate us. We can spend hours thinking about it or dwelling on it. We can talk on and on about it. Just like two people falling in love with each other; or on the extreme end, how we can continually dwell on our troubles, struggles and pains.
Beloved, something similar happens when you experience God. The disciples could sit with Jesus day and night, listening to His teachings, enjoying meals with Him, travelling with Him and learning from Him. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. He loves being with you. When you begin to enjoy His presence, you will consequently and continually praise Him.
As you spend time with Him, the revelation of His character becomes evident. It’s no longer knowing ABOUT Christ, but knowing the PERSON CHRIST. Irrespective of your situation, your emotional condition, the time of the day or your happiness quotient, YOU WILL BLESS HIM AT ALL TIMES; you WILL CONTINUALLY PRAISE HIM because you are confident of His Faithfulness and His goodness. You KNOW for a fact, that HE WILL WORK ALL THINGS FOR YOUR GOOD!!! Out of this trust in your God, flows praise, thanksgiving and worship. Unceasing and unperturbed!
