There is no true satisfaction in this world outside the relationship we have with our Lord Jesus. Neither can human life be sustained nor repaired without God knowing it. King David encourages his soul to praise God for every blessing that he has enjoyed thus far.
Praising helps our mind, the seat of all thought, ideas and emotions to allow the Lord to renew our minds. Spending time reading and meditating God’s word under the guidance of the Holy Spirit will renew our minds.
A renewed mind no longer conforms to the ways of the world, instead it is kept safe from the destruction. When we continually set our mind on things of the Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to make us understand the scriptures that we read, we are made new.
Only our Lord Jesus Christ can help us be continually satisfied with every God ordained situation in our lives, irrespective of the outcome. In Psalms 34:10, The Lord has promised providence and protection when we seek Him with all our heart. In Isaiah 58:11, the Bible highlights how the Lord satisfies His children – And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Therefore be assured that praising God will open doors for us to be renewed and satisfied.
