Thanksgiving is Strength

Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name. 1 Chronicles 29:13

We have reached the last day of the first month of the new year 2021 already! Looking back we can just thank God for his amazing presence and guidance throughout this month.

King David praised and thanked God through the multitude of psalms that he has written. But do we know that many of them were written in times of distress and afflictions? On many occasions he would be hiding in fear, running away from his enemies, but he would still praise and thank God for his goodness and kindness to his family. No matter what season David found himself in, he always had the perspective of praise. He derived his strength from praising and thanking God.

The Bible says, “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to
Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT)

Thanksgiving is a superpower. It reminds us how God moved aside the mountains that came our way and promises us of His guidance in the current situation that we are in.

Trust in the Lord with thanksgiving and you will see God’s hand working in every area of your lives!
