Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:3
It is not up to us to bless God for He is far beyond our blessings. But when Apostle Paul says blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is a reminder to worship and praise God who sent His Word as flesh to dwell among us as Jesus. God made Jesus the mediator and formed a covenant with Him that whosoever believes in the Son should not perish but have everlasting life. It is through this Jesus, the Son of God, that we have received all the spiritual blessings.
The day we received Jesus, every spiritual blessing was poured out on us. God did not keep back some blessings for the future when we need them or to reward us with blessings based on our conduct. No. God has “blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.” Now it is up to us to look heavenwards and walk with the complete knowledge that we are blessed.
