Ephesians 3:20-21 – “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Have you every been entrusted with a task that seemed almost impossible to accomplish? Perhaps it was a subject you struggled to grasp in college, or a work project that was too complicated… Have you uttered the phrase, “But I can’t…” in those situations?
Often, we are faced with challenges we’re not equipped to handle. We know we don’t have the knowledge, skills or ability to tackle the big task that’s ahead of us. But in those moments, we need to remember that our God can. What is impossible for you is possible with God. The next time you feel like saying, “But I can’t…”, remind yourself of the verses above.
Change you “But I can’t…” to “But God can…” You may not have the required knowledge, but God does. You may not be able, but God is more than able. Feel free to ask for His help and you won’t have to do it on your own. He will help you in every area you lack, and you will certainly be proud of the end result. When it is all done, you will turn back and acknowledge that you could not have done it without Him… and you will give God all the glory due to His Name!
