Jeremiah 29:12 – “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”
When we connect a few verses, it sounds like this:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you… and I will show you great and mighty things you do not know. “ (Jeremiah 29:12; Jeremiah 33:3).
God is so good! He has the ultimate knowledge of all the plans He has for us and their outcome. They are good plans which will prosper us, plans that will not hurt us, plans that will give us hope and a future. First He declares this promise and goodness upon our lives. Praise Him for His goodness!
Then He knows that we will call upon Him, that we will go and pray to Him, and He guarantees us that He will listen to us. This is amazing! Praise Him for He always listens and praise Him for He never slumbers nor sleeps!
Finally, not only does our God declare goodness upon us and listens to us, He also reveals mighty and hidden things that we do not know. He reveals mysterious and hidden things that we can know, according to His will, if we pray to Him. Praise Him for His Wisdom and Eyesight!
And He knows this too:
“You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.
“I” will be found by you, declares the Lord.” (Jeremiah 29:13).
