Isaiah 12:2 “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” KJV

Our world has been dealing with a lot of turmoil in recent times. Pandemic, wars between nations, and anarchy have left us vulnerable and bitter. It has, of course, made us realise that we are living in uncertain times. Reality has hit us hard and brought us down to our knees. In situations like these, even the wealthiest and the most influential people are helpless and powerless. Unfortunately, we are searching for peace and solace in all the wrong places.

It is at this critical stage, that the above verse presents itself. This verse could surely, be the game changer, provided we accept it and apply it in our lives. It is an appeal to stop relying on the things of the world and set our eyes on the one who created this world.

This text urges us to stop sulking and start celebrating the fact that we have now been introduced to our Saviour in whom there is salvation. God’s salvation brings with it confidence, strength, peace and joy. It changes our perception of all things.

It assures us that no matter the circumstances, when we put our trust in the Almighty God, He will become our source of strength and we need not look elsewhere. This is a privilege given only to a few. Do you want to seize this opportunity? If yes, then receive Christ in your life and allow Him to work in your troubles. When the Lord’s hand is upon you, His supernatural favours will surround you and you will live in peace even amid problems.
