His Grace is Enough

Psalm 34:16 “The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.” KJV

Anybody who has walked with the Lord long enough will know that our God cannot be taken for granted. His kindness cannot be mistaken for weakness. We serve a passionate God. When He decides to bless someone, He goes all out and does not hold back. In fact, He does not bless us based on our ability, but on His riches. Therefore, we end up receiving much more than what we asked, thought or even imagined. Generosity is one of His many wonderful qualities.

So, now that we know that He is an ardent giver, let us also understand that He may seem unresponsive at times. It may come as a surprise to many that our Lord Jesus Christ who is love personified, can feel distant, disinterested and indifferent towards us. But at those moments, let’s remember that it’s our sins that distance us from God.

The above verse very accurately illustrates God’s approach to both evil and evildoers. Lord Jesus Christ came to eliminate sin from the earth. He defeated all forces of evil when He died on the cross. Thus, it becomes quite apparent that our Lord detests evil and everything that comes with it.

Everything that the Lord says will come to pass. If that is the case then the above verse ought to make us introspect our way of life. Are we living as children of God, are we becoming the object of His wrath through our thoughts and actions?

Remind yourself today that you serve an amazing God who cannot wait to lavishly pour His grace upon you. He loves you regardless of your past and your present. He is waiting to intervene in your life and set it right. You may not be perfect and may be battling with various things. Do not despair. You don’t even have to do it on your own. Just allow His grace to work on you, discipline you and bring you on the right track. All you need is a touch from God and you will never be the same again!
