John 15:9 “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.” KJV
The above verse puts in to perspective the immeasurable love that the Heavenly Father has for His son Jesus Christ, and also the fact that Jesus’s love for the whole of humanity is eternal and worth holding on to. Through this verse, Jesus commands us to stay committed to His love and also to abide in it. We are reminded to make the love of Christ our strongest refuge. We are expected to turn to His precious and agape love in times of distress and hopelessness. This divine love of our Lord Jesus Christ has the power to heal brokenness and also the ability to strengthen us in times of weaknesses.
There is no love on this earth that can compare or replace the unwavering love of Christ. This love is simple yet extraordinary, delicate yet strong, peaceful yet powerful. This is the only love that is coupled with a promise. A promise of healing, protection, provision, grace, mercy, forgiveness and salvation. The world at the moment is probably facing one of the toughest challenges ever. We all could do with a little bit of His unwavering love. Jesus’s love has stood the test of time and still continues to flow abundantly in our lives. Let us open our hearts to His love today so that we are able to both experience His mysterious and remarkable love for us and also radiate this love for others to see.
