Come unto Jesus

Matthew 11:28:  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

This is a beautiful invitation from our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ to everyone who are labouring to find some kind of a rest from slavery to sin and addiction in life.  The world is so heavily laden in corruption and immorality and the like.  Jesus is willing to give everyone who goes to Him, rest.  Rest from threat, sin, danger, lawlessness, injustice, guilt, etc.

The Jews who lived during the days of Jesus were so caught up with keeping of the Law of Moses and they were under pressure to live by them.  If they erred, they would be punished and or dealt with according to their acts.  Nobody could escape the most heinous punishment of being stoned to death.  Jesus, looking at these ignorant people, invited them to go to Him so that He would free them from being under the law and give them eternal salvation and acceptance in His kingdom.  Even today, Jesus is calling everyone unto Him who is reeling under the clutches of sin.  He will give rest from sin and freedom to live life in the abundance that He has for us.

Accept the call of Jesus if you want to be delivered from your own efforts of seeking peace and salvation.  Jesus will give you the rest that you are looking for.  He will change your lives and you will be transformed.  Our struggles to make it to heaven will never take us there, but by His grace and love, we can surely make it.  Lay down your burdens and loads at His feet and exchange them for His rest and peace.
