Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Most of us can’t deny the fact that we are God’s workmanship. While we may not always feel like it, God did create each of us in His own image. He handpicked your features, your mannerisms, your skills and talents so you can be uniquely you. In today’s verse you get a glimpse into why God created you the way you are.

You were created to do good works that God already prepared for you to do. What comprises good works? Some of it is generic – showing love, sharing the Gospel, being kind and compassionate, giving to those in need, offering grace and forgiveness… But most of the good works destined for you revolve around who you are, who God made you to be.

If you aren’t sure of your purpose, spend some time in God’s presence and ask Him to reveal it to you. Think about what you like to do, what you’re good at doing, and also how it might be of help to others. Those are the gifts and abilities God wants you to embrace. When you understand what your talent is, invest some time in honing it and then, start using it for good works. There’s no greater joy and satisfaction than living out God’s purpose every day.
