Direct Access to God

Hebrews 10:22 – “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”

Isn’t it such a blessing to have direct access to God? We don’t have to stand in a queue, get a prior appointment, or go through various subordinates in order to get an audience with the King of kings and Lord of lords. However, we must remember that this kind of access would not have been possible without the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

We have the confidence to boldly draw near to the holy throne of God because the blood of Jesus has washed us clean. It is now our responsibility to properly steward this indescribable gift of grace we’ve been given. Let’s not take our salvation for granted. We do have direct access to God but we must examine ourselves daily, confess our sins and enter His presence with gratitude and a contrite heart.

If God sent His own Son to die on your behalf, will He not take care of all your physical, material, emotional and spiritual needs? You can have full assurance in Him and approach His presence with confidence, and of course, reverential awe. He will come down to meet with you, hear your prayers and bless you with more of His wisdom, grace and strength. Don’t hesitate to draw near to God today!
