Psalm 3:6: I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
God is our shelter and our strength. He protects us and keeps us safe from all kinds of possible danger. David composed this psalm when he fled from his son, Absalom. He was mighty confident that God would protect him. It takes a lot of trust and faith to believe in God for protection and safety when you are surrounded by enemies who want to destroy you and take possession of your position and status.
David trusted God with all his heart because he knew God like the back of his hand. It was the same God who kept a watch over him when he was in the fields taking care of his father’s sheep. When he fought the giant Goliath, it was God who helped in his victory. This faith that he built from his childhood helped him overcome all fears against Saul and his son, Absalom. He boldly declares his faith in the God of Israel and God acknowledged it every time and kept David safe from all dangers that were lurking in unpleasant places.
Do we trust God enough for Him to trust us and deliver us? Declare your faith in God and see Him delivering you and answering your prayers. Do not be afraid of the challenges that you face in your day to day life. There is no way to escape them but there is a way to come out of it, i.e., by believing that God would empower you to come out of them victoriously.
