Faithful and Faultless

Psalm 33:12

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”

Just as we possess the power to elect our political leaders, we also hold the liberty to choose whom we serve as God. Yes, you read that correctly. There are many “gods” to choose from. Whatever we worship in life becomes our god, whether it is wealth, success, relationships, or power. And once elevated to the place of “god”, it begins to dictate our thoughts, shape our feelings, influence our priorities, and govern our actions. Yet, these are nothing but false gods – empty, incapable, and deceptive. They steal our peace and joy and lead us to destruction.

Perhaps this very moment is your introduction to the true and living God. The God of the Holy Bible is the only God in the truest sense. He is absolute, pure, holy, and divine – faithful and faultless. In fact, no word can ever fully capture His nature. Many philosophers, theologians, writers, and critics have all attempted to describe Him, but in vain. God graciously reveals Himself to those He chooses and to those who turn and choose Him. As Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

Today, He invites you into a relationship with Him that requires your conviction, faith, and complete surrender. When you receive Him, He will not only bless you and your family but also the land you dwell in. God’s promises are great, but He is far greater. Therefore, don’t seek God for His promises alone, but for who He is, because His presence in your life will be far more satisfying than any blessing.
