Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who … endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
The Lord Jesus Christ is the author of our faith and the one who perfects our faith. This means Christ has created our faith and He will watch over it and sustain it. He will pour out His strength on us to run our race that is ahead. Christ in us, gives us hope for a glorious future.
So let us focus and fix our eyes on the Lord Jesus. Hindrances, challenges and temptations will come our way, but through them all we should ensure that we look unto Him who is able to safely take us through. Cast our cares on Him as He cares for us! He who began the good work in us will definitely bring it into perfection! (Philippians 1:6)
Consider the Lord Jesus Christ. He exchanged His glory for humility and suffering. He endured the cross. The Lord Jesus Christ died so that He might bring us closer to God. Now the same power that raised the Lord Jesus from the dead is working in us and giving us victories in our everyday life. The Lord Jesus is the source of our hope and help in time of need.
As we continue to run our race, let us not focus on what we are not, what we cannot do, or what we do not know. Let us focus and rely on God’s power, His strength, His resources, His ways. Let us focus on Christ who is in us.
Fix our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ and He will lead us through.
