Deuteronomy 11:25 – “No man shall be able to stand against you; the Lord your God will put the dread of you and the fear of you upon all the land where you tread, just as He has said to you.”
We all love to claim the promises of God. And today’s verse is a powerful one given to the Israelites. God promised that no one would be able to stand against them, all their enemies would fear them and they would be conquerors in the land they tread. However, for this promise to be fulfilled, there was something the Israelites had to do.
Let’s go back a few verses to Deuteronomy 11:22, “For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do – to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him – then…” The blessing of God would be on the Israelites only when they loved the Lord and followed His direction. As God’s children, adopted into His family, we too have a claim to Israel’s blessing, but only when we hold fast to God.
If you want to experience the favor of the Lord, it’s essential that you follow the roadmap that God has laid out for your life. Love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Meditate on God’s Word and follow His direction. Then the blessing of the Lord will rest on your life and you will find favor with God and with man.
