For HIS name’s sake.

“He restores my soul;He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Psalm 23:3”

Pride goes before a fall. We see in the Holy Bible, that our GOD is close to the humble. In the book of 2Chronicles we see that many kings who ruled Jerusalem, met with a sad end to their life, despite their riches and influence, because they were haughty; they felt they could handle their royalty without GOD, as they had all the money and influence.

Sometimes we unconsciously or consciously act like these kings in 2 Chronicles. Having been following Christ Jesus, for many years we take pride  in being loyal to Jesus Christ. We take pride in being given positions in our local church, we take pride in the blessings we have received because “God answers our prayers”. But let’s remind ourselves, proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall

We should always remind ourselves that everything we have and every blessing we enjoy, is given by GOD for HIS NAME SAKE. it is not for us to boast about our ability to receive from GOD, rather it is for us to boast about our GOD, for looking at our weaknesses and making us strong in HIS strength.

HE restores our soul and leads us in the path of Righteousness, for HIS NAME SAKE. May our restoration and gift of righteousness from GOD be a gift to many.
