John 1:14
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
In the Old Testament, God was regarded as one who was highly feared and revered. No one could approach His presence lightly and only a select few got to experience His glory. But then, God became flesh and came down to dwell among His people in the form of a man. The Lord Jesus Christ lived with ordinary people who got to experience His glory, His grace, and His truth.
Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we now have unlimited access to God. Everyone who believes in Him can boldly approach Him. The Holy Spirit is our constant guide and comforter. God has made His dwelling place in every individual who’s accepted Him as Lord of their lives. What a privilege it is to be a living tabernacle holding the glory of God!
Today, as we commemorate the birth of the King of kings in a lowly manger, let’s make room for Him in our hearts as well. Take stock of your schedule and your priorities, and make space for the Lord to rule over your life. If God Almighty walked into the room right now, wouldn’t He have all your attention? Let’s make a decision to live each day with the knowledge that God, even now, dwells among us.
Wish you a blessed Christmas day!
