Philippians 4:19 – “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
The beginning of a month is a joyous time for most salaried professionals because they receive their salaries. But within a few days, the bills are due, EMIs need to be paid, unexpected expenses crop up and the bank balance shrinks considerably. Ever found yourself in that place? What do you do when your income isn’t sufficient to cover your projected expenses for the month?
A look at the Gospels should put your mind at ease. We see Jesus creating abundance out of lack over and over again. A dwindling wine supply is refilled many times over with much better quality. A fish contained the tax needed for two people. A multitude is fed with a little boy’s lunch, and there were leftovers too! Insufficiency was never a problem when Jesus was around. 2000+ years later, it still shouldn’t be a problem. God is always able and willing to provide for His children – we only need to ask Him.
What is it you’re lacking in your life? Is it money to cover your monthly expenses, time to get the important things done, wisdom and skill to do the work you’ve been given, peace in a difficult situation? God will supply ALL your need, according to HIS riches in glory. Did you get that last part? His supply is not based on your resources – what you have, but the infinite resources at the disposal of the King of the universe. Entrust your need to the Lord, ask Him to work on your behalf and be amazed with His provision just when you need it.
