I Corinthians 10:13:  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Temptation is a desire to do something that is not right or unwise.  Jesus was tempted by the devil, but He overcame the devil by the power of the word of God.  Every human beings born on the face of the earth will have their own share of trials and temptations, but how we come out of them victoriously is what matters in the end.

When a child of God goes through a temptation, God will not allow him or her to be tempted beyond what he or she can bear.  He will make a way for them to come out of it with strength to bear it and be victorious.  Job went through a series of loss in his house, suffered the death of his kids, was taunted by his wife, and judged by his friends.  God allowed for Job to go through what he went through but at the end of it, he emerged victoriously.  Joseph, though he did things that pleased God, he got the wrong results.  God had designed Joseph’s life and his events, but his latter portion of his life was much better than his former one.  God will give us the strength to bear any trials or go through any temptation.  He will ensure that we win every battle and setups that the devil has fashioned for us.

Let the God of Job and Joseph be our guide and safely help us in life’s challenges and struggles.  To God be all the glory.
