God of compassion

Micah 7:19:  He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities, and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Our God is a compassionate God.  He has promised His people that He will subdue their iniquities.  God will cast all sins into the depths of the sea.  God’s anger lasts only for a moment, but His mercy endures forever and ever.  That is why God is described as a compassionate God.  His heart is tender.  Every time we go to Him for mercy, He offers it to us.

He will subdue our iniquities meaning He will trample or bring under His feet our wickedness and/or every acts of evil and immorality.  We once were slaves of sin.  We were serving the master of sin, the devil, but now God says that He will subdue or bring into control the master of sin.  In fact, He already has on the cross at Calvary.  We are now no longer subjects to sin or its master.  The deeds of darkness are subdued or trampled upon.  God will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea, never to be seen or heard of or remembered again.  That affair is done and over with. He will have compassion again upon us.  His face will shine with favour towards us.

God remembers every promise that He has made to us.  Maybe there were moments when God seemed to be so far away or your prayers went unheard, but now He wants you to know that He loves you and accepts you because He is compassionate.
