Psalm 84:11-12: For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
God is both a sun and a shield. He fills His people with cheer, life, joy. He dispels darkness from the lives of His people and leads them with joy unending. He is also a protector of those who call upon Him. The Lord also will bless His people with grace and glory. He will not withhold any good thing from those whose walk a righteous walk.
God is everything for us. When we invite Him in our life, there will be no trace of any darkness. It will have to leave instantly because He is the Light, like the sun. We need no fear when we have Him in our life. Even if the enemy tries to defeat us with all his dirty schemes, even if he plans to kill us through various ways, we need no fear because God is our shield. He fills our life with the much needed grace and honor or glory. He will exalt us to higher positions in life as we keep walking in His ways. He knows we need His grace, and He will supply that in abundant measure. Finally, He loves those who are righteous. He will bless everyone who dare to walk in godly ways. He will not withhold any blessing or good thing from those who have a right standing with Him.
Therefore, worship God who is our sun, our shield, the giver of grace and glory and also the one who does not hesitate to bless anyone who walks uprightly.
