Compassionate God

Micah 7:19:  He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot yes, you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

God is a compassionate being.  We err many times, go astray, sin, stumble and fall into various kinds of temptations.  At times such as these, God might be angry and turn away His presence from us and leave us for some time until we repent and come back to Him.  When we repent and confess our sins to God, it is like a whole new chapter in our life.  God gives us hope through His compassionate self-being.

Nobody in this world is as compassionate as our God.  He not only sympathizes with us but also shows compassion.  He shows love through His deeds. He loves us so much that He will put under foot all our iniquities once we have made a confession about it to Him openly and honestly.  The prophet, Micah also goes on to say that God not only puts our iniquities under His feet meaning that He has made them powerless over us but also that He will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea from where they will never be able to rise again.  Nobody can see what is underneath the sea or the depths of the sea.

He will never forsake anyone who goes to Him with a sorrowful or a repentant heart.  God’s heart is so tender that it would be hard for Him to not accept us when we go back to Him and say to Him that we want to call it truce and start afresh.
