Psalm 11:4
The Lord is in His holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.

Psalm 11 is the psalm of David and a psalm of refuge. Threatened by his enemies, David puts his confidence in God. Let us visualize what David is going through. He is running away from the king who is determined to kill him; the reason being David was anointed by God as the next king. His run is not for a few days, weeks or months but years! It is human to feel weary and confused in such a situation. David also probably wants to distrust God and do his way. However, David fights this temptation with confidence in God and proclaims the dominion of God. He answers his temptation, putting it to silence, by believing in God’s dominion and providence.

David confesses the “Lord is in His holy temple and His throne is in heaven”; Heaven represents the highest place or dominion. Though He is out of our sight, we are not out of His sight. God not only sees us but sees right through us; He knows what we say or do and also what we think. Indeed, He knows us inside out. This should comfort us in unpleasant times of our lives. He understands us and our situation more than anybody else. He will see us through always when we don’t give up on Him and trust Him.

Today let us decide to see God in His rightful place in our life, enthroned upon His throne of our hearts. Let us allow Him to see us and see through us. Surrender our everything to Him to be led by Him; let us lead a blessed life to glorify His name.

Blessed Day Ahead.
