GOD’S EQUALITY IN HUMANITY

The rich and the poor have this in common, the Lord is the maker of them all. Proverbs 22:2

In Proverbs 22:2, we are reminded that both the rich and the poor share a commonality: the Lord is the maker of them all. This profound truth underscores the equality we all possess in God’s eyes. It doesn’t matter our socio-economic status or background; we are all created by the same loving Creator.

This verse challenges us to view ourselves and others through the lens of God’s love and equality. It’s easy to get caught up in the distinctions society places on us, but God sees us as His beloved children, each uniquely created in His image.

Jesus Himself emphasized the importance of this perspective when He said, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40). This reminds us that our treatment towards others, regardless of their status, is a direct reflection of our love for Christ.

As we go about our day, let’s remember that every person we encounter today is created by the same loving God. Let’s treat each other with kindness, compassion, and respect knowing that we are all equal in His sight.

May we strive to see others as God sees them, and may our actions reflect the love of Christ to all we meet.
