God’s Plans are Forever

Psalm 33:11 NKJV

“The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.”

The beginning of a new year is a great time to plan and envision how we want the year to go. It’s a time to set new goals, resolutions, and commitments to help us grow. While we may be enthusiastic about everything we’ve planned, our fervor eventually starts to wane a few months down the line. Our plans may lose steam, but God’s plans are not like our own. In today’s verse, the Psalmist says that God’s plans are forever.

The Lord’s plans for your life are far beyond what you can see right now. God, who is beyond time itself, holds the past, present and future in His Almighty hands. While you might feel disappointed that last year didn’t go the way you wanted, nothing is ever wasted in God’s kingdom. He has good plans for you, and He will bring them to fruition.

As you plan out your goals for 2023, take a few minutes to surrender them into the Lord’s hands. He’s an expert at planning and when you lay your plans at His feet, He will perfect them. He will turn your disappointments into divine appointments that bring beauty and grace into your life. Trust the Lord with your desires, let Him have His way in your life, and you will be amazed.
