And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 John 2:17 KJV
It is no secret that there is power in the word of God. God is constant and therefore his word is reliable.
Through his word, readers discover the importance of receiving, heeding and aligning themselves with God’s promises.
Yes promises, God’s word is more like a promise and God has never made a promise he cannot fulfil or accomplish. We all need promises to feel certain and assured. To see the fruitfulness of his promises we must align ourselves to the will of God.
For the will of God is revealed as a whole in the Bible, this goes to say how important it is to read the perfect word of God, as he guides his children through their life journey to the mountaintop.
For all that is in the world—the lust and sensual craving of the flesh and the lust and longing of the eyes and the boastful pride of life [pretentious confidence in one’s resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father our God but are from the world. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God or align themselves to the will of God. On the contrary, God’s word promises a kingdom above, for all those who abide by his will. May we be blessed in the light of eternity.
