Isaiah 65:17-18 NKJV

For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create.

We often carry the weight of past failures, hurts or regrets in our lives. But through this promise, God reminds us that He is a God of new beginnings. Just as He is creating new heavens and a new earth, He can create something new within us. Our past does not define us. The burdens we once carried will no longer have a hold on us, and we can embrace a future filled with hope and renewal.

This verse is a powerful promise of renewal and transformation. God speaks of creating new heavens and a new earth – a vision of a future where the old will fade away, replaced by something far more glorious. The past, with all its pain, mistakes, and struggles, will no longer linger in our minds. God is inviting us into a fresh beginning, where His divine handiwork ushers in a time of everlasting joy.

The call to “be glad and rejoice” is not a suggestion—it’s a command to find joy in the creative power of God. His work is not only external, changing the world around us, but also internal, transforming our hearts and lives.

Today, take hold of this promise. Allow God to create something new in your life. Release the past, with all its pain or disappointment, and look forward to the new things God is doing. Rejoice in His creative power and trust that He is making all things new.
