His Presence is Enough

Exodus 33: 14

My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.

Exodus 33 teaches the two important lessons that we need to learn in life. Even when we walk in God’s will, the journey will not be easy, but God will be with us, and He will comfort us throughout. When God calls you for a purpose, He doesn’t call you according to your strengths and weaknesses; He calls the one who is willing to obey Him.

Moses prayed to God earnestly and said, “God, I can’t go forward.” These people can’t go forward without you. If your presence will not be with us, we cannot go into the promised land. We need you.

Here, we can see how deeply worried Moses is about leading the Israelites. He was unsure about the future ahead; he did not know if he was truly up to the task he was called for.

Every time Moses thought about his weakness, God showed him grace.

When we are stressed, worried about the future, or feeling weak, we often don’t seek God; we try to figure everything out on our own. Instead, take some time to sit in God’s presence.

Pray and surrender your worries, stress, and problems to Him. His presence will give us peace and rest, and we will soon realize that our God is bigger than any circumstances we are facing today.

Let us be like Moses and pray and surrender our ways to Him. His presence will go with us and give us rest.
