Hold on to God’s Word

Mark 13:31 – Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

We live at a time when disasters abound all around us. The ground beneath our feet may give way in an earthquake. An entire region might be wiped out in a missile strike. Hillsides melt away in a landslide. Coastal areas are washed away in a tsunami. But Jesus gave us His assurance, that no matter what happens, His words will never pass away.

Do you find yourself in a volatile situation? Hold on to God’s Word. Open your Bible and note down verses that apply to your situation. Are you tired of waiting for God’s promises to come true in your life? Don’t give up. Keep repeating those promises to yourself. Write down Bible verses and memorize them – that way you can carry them with you wherever you go.

No matter what lie the devil throws at you, no matter how shaky your life feels, cling on to God’s Word. When you feel like you’re sinking, let God be your Rock. Hold on to Him; hold on to His Word. God is not a man that He should lie. He will keep the promises He’s made to you. Don’t lose heart. Keep holding on.

Isaiah 40:8 – The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
