John 15:26 NKJV

“When the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.”

After His resurrection, Jesus spent 40 days on earth before ascending to heaven. Before His ascension, He promised His disciples that they would not be alone. He assured them that the Helper would come from the Father to guide, strengthen, and testify of Him. The Holy Spirit is our divine Helper, teaching us the truth, convicting us of sin, and leading us into a deeper relationship with Jesus. This promise is not just for the disciples but for all believers.

The Holy Spirit is also known as the “Spirit of Truth” because He reveals Christ to us. In Galatians 5:16, the Apostle Paul urges believers to walk by the Spirit so that we don’t gratify the desires of our flesh. The Holy Spirit instructs us in God’s ways through His Word, comforts us in our difficult times, and empowers us to live in obedience to God’s commandments. Through Him, we gain wisdom and the boldness to testify about Jesus to others.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to be my Helper and Guide. Fill me with Your truth and strengthen me to walk in faith. Help me listen to the Holy Spirit’s leading and boldly testify of Jesus in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
