John 14:17
The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
Undoubtedly, Lord Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth because He inspires the truth into us. The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, stands by us, comforts us and even enables us to bear a faithful testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ.
The greatest advantage or privilege we have in this world is that:
- We know Him!
- He dwells with us!
- He will be in us!
Lord Jesus Christ is indeed Emmanuel, ‘God with us’. The promise that God the Holy Spirit will be IN us, was given to the disciples just before Christ finished His work on the cross. From the day of Pentecost to this day, ALL of us who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior have God, the Holy Spirit with us, all around us, above us ,beneath us, before us and after us and most importantly WITHIN us.
When we have Lord Jesus Christ in us, there is always hope for us. The most beautiful thing about putting all our confidence in Christ, is that He will never let us down. He will constantly strengthen and empower us by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us.
