Honour God’s people

Matthew 1o:42:  And whosoever will give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Service to God’s people can be in any form.  It can be honouring them with gifts or precious things or to even as low as giving them a drink of water just because they are the disciples of Christ.  God rewards anything that is done to His servants in His name.

We don’t honour God’s servants because of a reward, but we honour God’s servants because we love God.  Rewards come automatically when we honour them.  If we can be of any help to anyone, it is always God’s family that needs to be prioritized first.  It can be any kind of an honour or showing them respect or love.  Do everything within your means to highly uphold God’s people in your lives.  You will be blessed for it.  Whenever you can do anything within your reach to help God’s people, do it.

Have you shown your love to any disciple of Jesus lately?  If the answer is no, please start it.  Learn to honour His people.  Show them your love and concern.  Respect them.  Even if all you can afford is just a cup of cold water, do not withhold it.  It is taken into God’s account.  He will not fail to reward what you have done.
