Isaiah 33:22
“For the LORD is our Judge, The LORD is our Lawgiver, The LORD is our King; He will save us”
The LORD is our JUDGE
We are all certain of this-there will be a day of judgement when each one of us will have to give an account of our actions, thoughts and even our words to the Lord. On that day, the Judge will be seated on the judgement seat and each one will be given a verdict-guilty or not guilty. There is just one sentence for the guilty-Hades or death.
The LORD is our LAWGIVER
The Lord wrote a set of commandments with His own fingers which He handed to Moses. All other laws commanded by Him thereafter rest on the foundation of these ten laws that He instituted. In our society we have law makers or law givers who make laws which may or may not be right in the eyes of the Lord. Many places in the world have laws legalizing abortion, but any kind of termination or elimination of life is considered murder in the sight of the Lord. Therefore, it is the Lord Himself who is the Supreme and wise Lawgiver.
The LORD is our KING
When Pilate asked Jesus if He was a King, Jesus answered stating that He was born a King and His Kingdom is of a different kind…His authority and power came from a higher realm. He is the kind of King who defends, fights for and lays down His life for His people.
Knowing these dimensions of our Savior strengthens our faith to believe that HE WILL SAVE US on that day. Though through sin we can be judged by the laws of the Most High and condemned to the pit, praise the King of Kings because of whom we have been redeemed and justified! Sing hosanna in the highest!
