Humbling through worship

II Chronicles 7:14:  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (KJV).

Our God is a very loving God.  He loves to help His children when they call unto Him.  Whenever the children of Israel sinned against Him, they were attacked by their enemies, but whenever they repented and called upon His name, He was being kind and rescued them from their oppressors.

God has certain conditions in order for us to receive His blessings irrespective of our socio-economic status.  Everyone who are called by His name should first of all humble themselves, seek His face, turn from their wicked ways so that He will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.  Being humble is something that we do that we are not comfortable doing.  Secondly, God wants His kids to pray and seek His face.  Thirdly, He wants us to turn from our wicked ways.  When we are done completing this deal with God, He says He will hear from heaven our prayer requests, our supplications, our cries for help, etc., and will our land.  If our land is a place full of wickedness, pride, prayerlessness, God wants it all substitued for humility, prayer, seeking His face.

There could be many reasons as to why our prayers are not answered sometimes or why our land is not blessed.  The solution to this remains in our reconnecting back to God, rather restoring the lost humility and worship that He rightfully deserves.

Right word at the Right Time. I do not consider myself to be backsliden, but I sure ought to spend a lot more time with God than I am spending now. Thank You for the Word.
