Deuteronomy 31:8(NKJV) – The Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; Do not fear nor be dismayed.
It’s often those who lead the way for others that face the most persecution. As we navigate a temptation-filled life on earth, it is quite common(if not certain) that we all feel the weight of the world on our shoulders, as though we are running this race on our own. With fear and tiredness along the way and uncertain direction of where the end is, it is natural for people to lose hope.
That is when we lean on God. At our lowest, we look to God, only to realize He has been with us the whole time, leading the way for us. It is up to us to open the eyes of our hearts and live by faith and not by sight.
In this verse, we see that God goes before us, He is with us. God is love. His love is unconditional and His mercy unfailing. God fulfils all his promises. God promises to ‘never leave us nor forsake us’. When God is with us, what have we to fear?
The one who shaped the earth and placed the stars is guiding our lives, it’s up to us to live in His love and follow Him with faith as He leads us to everlasting life. We have no reason to fear or be disappointed. Instead, we should look forward in joy to see the life God has designed for each of us, His children.
