I Will Not Be Afraid

Psalm 56:4 – “In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?”

A pastor in another country recently said that during the current outbreak of COVID-19, there were 2 viruses: one was the Corona-virus; the second, was fear. And the fear that broke out, infected more people than the first.

A wonderful reminder for all of us who believe in the infinite power of the Almighty God, because He is in complete control of what is happening in our planet. He promises to protect us; we rest in the shadow of His wings; we will not fear the terror of night, nor the pestilence, and nor the plague that destroys at midday. (Psalm 91).

We put our entire trust in our God, who sustains us day-in-and-day-out, who delivers us from all evil!

David wrote: “In God I have put my trust; I will not fear.” Jesus said: “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28).  And we are not talking about the devil, because we do not fear him, we resist him and he flees from us.  We are talking about God, our Judge, our Redeemer. We should fear Him.

Let us put our trust in God.  Everyday.  He is in control.  He owns us.  We are His!

“”So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?””(Hebrews 13:6).
