Psalm 24:4-5:  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.  He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (KJV)

From the above scripture portion, we see the 4 requisites that God wants from us in order for us to receive the blessing and righteousness of God.  God wants us to have clean hands, a pure heart, one who does not worship created objects or images or one who does not take pleasure in the vain things of the world, and the one who does not swear in vain.

In brief, God wants us to live a holy life while on earth.  He wants us to know that we are called to worship Him and nobody else.  While it is a challenge to live a straight life before God, the reward of such living is awesome.  He will bless us abundantly, and we will receive righteousness from Him.  Everything that we set our hands into should be sin free.  Our hands should be dedicated to work for God and serve Him faithfully, should be used to lift up someone in despair and lead them to the hope and love that we find in Christ.  Our hearts should be filled with the love of God always and guile and deceit free.  God alone deserves all the worship that is due Him.  Nothing can replace that.  Keep yourselves away from swearing and cursing.

When we fulfill the 4 requisites that God wants, He will bless us for sure.  Take great caution to live the life that He wants us to live.
