Psalm 56:8-9 “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side!”
In life, we go through various seasons. Some good, some bad. The experiences we have often change our approach towards things. They can make us or break us. When we go through difficulties, we tend to feel hopeless, misunderstood and lonely. This kind of feeling is justified if we are looking for support amongst our family and friends as they have limitations. They cannot fix our troubles, nor can they guarantee happiness.
The above verse comes as a promise to all those who choose to trust in the Lord in every situation. It affirms our God as a record keeper. He is an omniscient God. A God who knows our past, present and future. It goes on to confirm that He is also a compassionate God. A God who wipes our tears and knows first-hand what pain is. He is a supernatural God, who can work miracles in any season and overthrow our enemies no matter how powerful they might be. These are just a few of the many characteristics our Lord possess. When we place our worries and troubles in front of this mighty and absolute God, victory over them is inevitable.
You may be in a dark place right now, feeling left out and all alone, please know that there is no place in this world that is hidden from Him. No place where His loving hands cannot reach to comfort you. Our God loves us and will go to any lengths to fix our troubles and put things back in order.
